Event for the revolution of Theriso.

The annual event for the anniversary of the Revolution of Theriso was held in Theriso, on Saturday, March 8th.
The event was organised by the Prefecture of Hania, the Municipality of Theriso and the Foundation.
The speaker of the event was Antonis Stratakis, Prefect of Lasithi.
Christos Avgoulas, Secretary General of Rural Policy & International Relations of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food, was the government representative.

PROGRAMME
-Liturgy and memorial service headed by Damaskinos, Metropolitan of Kydonia & Apokoronas.

-Cretan traditional songs (rizitika) by the group “Kritikes Madares”
-A moment of silence
-National Anthem
-Introductory speeches by the organisers
-Speech by Antonis Stratakis, Prefect of Lasithi
-Awarding of the students of the Municipality of Theriso
-Visit to the Museum of Theriso.
