Commemorative event for Eleftherios Venizelos (Old Parliament, Athens).

A commemorative event for the 70 years of the death of Eleftherios Venizelos was organised on Sunday, April 9^th, at the hall of the Old Parliament, by the Pancretan Association of Athens, with the support of the Foundation.
The speaker was Andreas Kintis, Professor and former Chancellor of the Athens University of Economics, on the topic "Eleftherios Venizelos' contribution to the establishment and modernisation of the Greek State".
Short speeches were given by the Pancretan Association President, Konstantinos Plaitis and the CEO of the Foundation, Nikolaos Papadakis. Cinematographic documentaries and a DVD about the 5 years of the foundation of the National Research Foundation "Eleftherios K. Venizelos"  were projected, and the actor Giannis Voglis recited passages. The event closed with Cretan traditional songs (rizitika) and a visit to the photograph exhibition for Eleftherios Venizelos.
