04 Sep Visit of the New President of the Pancretan Association of America
The newly elected President of the Pancretan Association of America, Diane Kounalakis, visited the National Foundation “Eleftherios K. Venizelos” on Friday, September 1, 2023. She was accompanied by Yiannis Bertakis, Vice President of the Venizelos Foundation USA, and Antonis Maragakis, Vice President of the Cretan Association “Zeus” of Sacramento. During the visit, they discussed with the Director-General of the Foundation, Nikolaos Papadakis-Papadis, about the longstanding relationship between the National Foundation “Eleftherios K. Venizelos” and the Pancretan Association of America. They also discussed the support of the Greek-American community in America for the work of the Foundation, as well as the close relationship between Eleftherios Venizelos and the Greek diaspora, which had always been strong.
Mr. Papadakis-Papadis offered Ms. Kounalakis and Mr. Maragakis the biography “Eleftherios K. Venizelos: The Man, The Leader,” as well as a brief biography of the great statesman in English.
