Nikolaos Emm. Papadakis, Eleftherios Venizelos: A story of an adventurous life, National Research Foundation “Eleftherios K. Venizelos”, Chania 2016.

This publication recounts the most important moments of Eleftherios Venizelos’ eventful life. It also gives the opportunity to the Anglophone readers to learn about the great statesman as a revolutionary, a diplomat and a politician, who linked his name inseparably to the fate of Hellenism and furthermore  to the life changing international developments of the first decades of the 20th century. At the same time, it highlights the timeliness of his work and his political example, while offering a rare glimpse into his personal moments.
The publication, which includes rich photographic material from the Foundations’ archive, conducted thanks to the heartwarming support of the Pan-Cretan Association of America, the World Council of Cretans and many other fellow expatriates from Crete.
