28 Mar Meting “The legacy of the foreign policy of Eleftherios Venizelos” (Hania, 18.03.2006).
On Saturday, March 18th, 2006 (in the morning), a meeting on the topic “The heritage of the foreign policy of Eleftherios Venizelos” was held at the new building of Administrative and Scientific Services of the Foundation (Stavros S. Niarhos Hall).
The conference was organised under the auspices of the Greek Parliament.

-Eleni Gardika Katsiadaki, Historian, Researcher at the Academy of Athens, Scientific Advisor of the Foundation, on the topic “The sense of power balance in Venizelos’ policy: its boundaries in foreign policy practice”.
-Nikolaos Emm. Papadakis, CEO of the Foundation, on the topic “Greece in the international context. The choices of Venizelos and his successors. The cases of Asia Minor and the Cypriot issue”.
-Sir Michael Llewellyn Smith, former ambassador of Great Britain in Greece, on the topic “Venizelos’ relationship with foreign countries: a diplomatic advantage for Greece”.
-Konstantinos Svolopoulos, Academic, Professor at the University of Athens, Chairman of the Foundation “Konstantinos Karamanlis”, on the topic “The European dimension of Eleftherios Venizelos’ policy”.
-Ioannis Mourelos, Substitute Professor at the University of Thessaloniki, Vice President of the Institute for Balkan Studies, on the topic “The heritage of the four years, 1928-1932”.
-Evanthis Hatzivasiliou, Substitute Professor at the University of Athens, on the topic “Venizelism and foreign policy after Venizelos: the first thirty years”.
