28 Mar Meeting on Eleftherios Venizelos at the National Defense School (Athens, 27.02.2003).
The National Defense College and the Foundation organised a conference at the College, on February 27th, 2003, on the topic “Eleftherios Venizelos”.
The speakers of the conference were G. Manousakis, writer, on the topic “Crete’s Venizelos, 1889-1910”, Nikolaos Emm. Papadakis, CEO of the Foundation, on the topic “Eleftherios Venizelos: strategic choices 1910-1914”, G. Margaritis, Substitute Professor of Political Science at the University of Crete on the topic “Political and social characteristics of Venizelos’ military thought”, E. Gardika Katsiadaki, Historian, on the topic “The formation of Venizelos’ social policy”, P. Kitromilidis, Political Science Professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Athens, on the topic “The end of the Megali Idea (Great Idea)” and K. Svolopoulos, History Professor at the University of Athens, on the topic “Venizelos and Europe”.
The conference was organised under the auspices of the Ministry of National Defense.
