The 106th Anniversary of the Battle of Skra was celebrated on Sunday, May 12, 2024. An official service was held at the Church of Saint Demetrius in Skra, followed by a memorial prayer at the Heroes’ Monument.
The event was addressed by the Mayor of Paionia, Mr. Konstantinos Sionidis, the Deputy Minister of Health, Mr. Dimitrios Vartzopoulos, representing the Greek Government, the Vice President and Member of Parliament for Kilkis, Mr. Georgios Georgantas, representing the President of the Hellenic Parliament, and the Vice President of the Macedonian Branch of the National Foundation “Eleftherios Venizelos,” Ms. Sonia Symeonidou.
