11 Aug Honoring great benefactors and partners
In an atmosphere filled with emotion and pride, the prestigious ceremony for recognizing major benefactors and partners took place on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. These honors, awarded by the Foundation, represent the highest accolades bestowed upon individuals or organizations that have rendered significant services either to the Foundation itself or to the preservation of the historical legacy of Eleftherios Venizelos.
The event took place in the garden of the Metropolitan Irenaios Galanakis Mansion, at the Headcourters of the Foundation in Halepa, Chania. Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” was bestowed with the title of Major Benefactor and Partner of the Foundation. The award was received by the President of the airport, Mr. Richardos Lampiris.
Additionally, the following individuals were honored as partners of the Foundation: Mr. Iakovos Boutzoukas, former President of the Pancretan Association of America, Mr. Nikolaos Kastrinakis, General Supervisor of the Pancretan Association of America, and Mr. Anastasios Tamis, Director of the Australian Centre for Hellenic Studies and a valued member of the Board of Directors in the Australian Branch of the Foundation.
The Greek Government and Prime Minister were officially represented at the event by Mr. Ioannis Chrysoulakis, Secretary General for Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy.
