12 Dec Exhibition “Eleftherios Venizelos. Aspects of his action: the diplomat & the revolutionary “
The exhibition is organized by the National Research Foundation “Eleftherios K. Venizelos”, the Foundation of the Hellenic Parliament for Parliamentarism and Democracy and the Benaki Museum (Conference Hall of the Greek Parliament, October 2014) to celebrate 150 years since the birth of Eleftherios Venizelos. The exhibition focused on two aspects of Venizelos’ action: the revolution and diplomacy, which are presented through the collections of the National Research Foundation “Eleftherios K. Venizelos”, the Historical Archives of the Benaki Museum and the Library of the Hellenic Parliament. Artworks, museum objects, photographs, magazines and postcards of the era, supplemented by explanatory texts, present the path and the struggles of Venizelos from the mountains of Crete in the late 19th century until the interwar Europe.
