07 May Delphi Economic Forum with the participation of the National Research Foundation “Eleftherios K. Venizelos”.
The 6th Delphi Economic Forum is held from Monday 10 to Saturday 15 May at Zappeion Megaron in Athens. More than 1,000 distinguished speakers from 42 countries (heads of state, prime ministers, European Union officials, representatives of institutions, academics, analysts, journalists, etc.) participate in his work, both in person and online. The conference will commemorate the bicentennial of the Greek Revolution.
The opening session will be announced on Monday at 11 a.m. by the President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou, under whose patronage the Forum is held. The same day at 4:30 p.m. a discussion will be held between the Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and his Spanish counterpart Pedro Sanchez.
At 5:20 p.m. the section “Leaders who shaped the Nation” will follow:
“Ioannis Capodistrias: The Foundation of the Modern Greek State” by Prokopios Pavlopoulos, President of the Hellenic Republic (2015-2020).
“Charilaos Trikoupis: Between Reform and Parliamentary Rule” by Katerina Gardikas, Associate Professor in Modern Greek History, University of Athens.
“Eleftherios K. Venizelos: Creating Contemporary Greece” by Nikolaos Emm. Papadakis, General Director of the National Research Foundation “Eleftherios K. Venizelos”.
“Constantinos Karamanlis: Entering the Developed World” by Evanthis Hatzivassiliou, Professor of Postwar History, University of Athens.
“Andreas G.Papandreou: The Turbulent Transition to Modernity” by Stan Draenos, Historian and Political Analyst.
