15 May Celebrating the International Museum Day (18.05.2024)
Innovative activities from the project “Digital Monuments and Documents for Eleftherios Venizelos” (NSRF 2014 – 2020) will be presented for the first time during the celebration of the International Museum Day on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Venizelos’ museums with free admission for the public.
At the Residence – Museum of Eleftherios Venizelos, a virtual reality (VR) application about the assassination attempts against Venizelos will be showcased, there will be an interactive augmented reality tour, and for younger visitors, an interactive treasure hunt game.
At the Birth House of Venizelos in Mournies, there will be a 3D representation of a Cretan house from the late 19th century. Meanwhile, at the Museum-Headquarters in Theriso, through a dynamic touchscreen application, visitors will be able to explore the events of the revolution and the history of the village.
