The anniversary of the death of Eleftherios Venizelos will be held in Hania on 17 and 18 March 2018.
On Saturday, March 17, 2018 the prizes of the Panhellenic Student Essay Competition (school year 2017-2918) will be awarded. The winners are: 1st prize: Sotiris Moraitis, Private High School “Othisi”, 2nd prize: Eirini Axarli, 1st High School Glyka Nera Attikis and 3rd prize: Dimitris Papadimitriou, High School of the Athens College.
On Sunday, March 18, 2018 the annual civil memorial service of Eleftherios and Sophocles Venizelos, organized by the Regional Section of Hania, the Municipality of Hania and the National Research Foundation “Eleftherios K. Venizelos”, takes place at the Venizelos Tombs, in Profitis Ilias of Hania.
The speaker will be Christophe Chantepy, Ambassador of France to Greece.
