Brief description of the project: The project includes a wide range of activities, such as the documentation, digitization and digital processing of archival material of the National Research Foundation “Eleftherios K. Venizelos” (19th-20th century photographs and newspapers) and part of “Eleftherios Venizelos Library” from the Municipal Library of Chania (books, minutes of the Municipal Council of Chania, printed and visual material). The purpose of the project is to historically highlight and touristically promote five sites-stations of Eleftherios Venizelos’ life in Chania: the Residence-Museum of Eleftherios Venizelos in Chalepa, the House in Mournies in which he was born, the Museum – Headquarters of the Revolution of Therisso, the Venizelos Family Tombs in Akrotiri and the Municipal Library of Chania. These five locations create a uniform digital network of cultural routes related to the Modern Greek and European history, based on Eleftherios Venizelos.
