Event “The battle of Skra”.

Event dedicated to the battle of Skra, one of the most important battles of First World War, which judged finally the fate of Macedonia. In this battle fought the divisions of Crete, Archipelago and Serres with a lot of victims.

Organization: Mynicipality of Axioupoli - National Research Foundation “Eleftherios K. Venizelos”.

During the event will be held the opening ceremony of the Macedonia Regional Branch of the National Research Foundation “Eleftherios K. Venizelos” (venue: Public Library of Axioupoli).
It should be marked that all the prefectures of Macedonia are represented in the Macedonia Regional Branch.
On May 15th, 2010 will be held the processes of twinning of Hania and Axioupoli municipalities.
