Event on the subject “Εleftherios Venizelos and Dimitrios Lambrakis”

A lecture dedicated to the relationship of Eleftherios Venizelos with Dimitrios Lambrakis was held in Athens (Old Parliament).
The speaker of the lecture was the journalist and writer, Vassos Mathiopoulos.
The introductory speech of the event, attended by many politicians and journalists, was given by the Foundation’s CEO, Nikolaos E. Papadakis, who also forwarded the message of the Chairman, Metropolitan Irineos Galanakis.
The event was organised by the Foundation within the context of tributes to important personalities of the environment of Venizelos, and Dimitrios Lambrakis, publisher of the newspapers “Elefthero Vima”, “Athinaika Nea” and of the magazine “Oikonomikos Tahidromos”, belongs, without a doubt, in this category, since he was a close associate and friend of Venizelos.
The close political and personal bonds with Eleftherios Venizelos were strengthened, when Dimitrios Lambrakis became the publisher and the founder of the homonymous Press Group, which expressed the opinions of the Venizelists.
