Official acclaiming of the Hellenic Parliament as a founding member of the Foundation.

On December 1st, 2000 the official acclaiming of the Helelnic Parliament as a founding member of the Foundation was held at the Philological Association "Hrysostomos" in Hania.
The event was attended by the President of the Parliament, Apostolos Kaklamanis, who was the main speaker on the topic "The political vision of Eleftherios Venizelos".
Among the guests were the Minister of Culture, Evaggelos Venizelos, the former Prime Minister, Konstantinos Mitsotakis, the MPs of Crete, and representatives of the local and military authorities.
The event, which was organised on the occasion of the anniversary of the unification of Crete with Greece, was supported by the Prefecture and the Municipality of Hania.
